I’ve been in event management for over twenty years, primarily in the entertainment industry, and am currently in the Meeting & Event Management program at Madison College (grad. 2019). During my time in Las Vegas radio, I executed concerts and station productions that drew thousands of people. I’m gifted at building relationships and have a knack for communicating with the full range of players involved, from rock stars to vendors to law enforcement. I’m looking to join an entertainment company that values delivering experiences that stay with attendees for a lifetime.

Experience

Promotions & Event Execution, KKLZ Las Vegas

  • Events ranged from concerts to live broadcasts at casinos, sporting events, conventions, and trade shows.
  • I was responsible for site survey, production, set-up & tear-down, troubleshooting, and anticipating problems before they started – all with attention to safety, procedure, and the clock.

On-Air Talent, radio stations across the country including Las Vegas & Seattle

  • I lived by the clock and the time constraints and deadlines that come with it.
  • I maintained the high level of prioritization needed to juggle guests, bits, phone calls, and news & traffic with hard start and end times.
  • My number one focus was on the listeners and their needs, wants, expectations, and happiness level as measured by Arbitron.
  • I met client needs while continuing to maintain station standards.

Program Director, KCLH La Crosse, WI

  • I was responsible for the hiring, firing, disciplining, developing, scheduling, and coaching of talent.
  • I worked directly with sales, production, traffic, and operations to resolve conflict and deliver a successful, fiscally viable product.

Professional Musician, violin and bass guitar

  • I’ve played in Toronto, Edinburgh, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Seattle, including performances at the Metrodome, House of Blues, and Lambeau Field. I have a deep familiarity with back-of-house in major venues and know how they operate.
  • I am skilled at maintaining focus in the midst of chaos, and have the ability to perform for a crowd while being mindful of staging, equipment, and safety.
  • I’m versed in music programming, promotional material creation and distribution, and social media campaigns both paid and unpaid.
